On an organizational level, prevention of burnout and stress is no simple task. Organizations and people are complex systems in which the root causes of dysfunction are not always visible. Before the symptoms of dysfunction start to show, a lot of damage is already done. Mostly curative measures are then employed. Short-term, this gives some relief and solace. However, in our handling of burnout and stress on an organizational level, we choose a preventive approach. Most of the time, we are able to limit the initial damage and prevent worse. |
